SAN JOSÈ, USA and KISTA, SWEDEN, June 08, 2023: Qulsar announces today that Viavi Solutions, Inc., Chandler, AZ, has acquired the Systems product line and related Intellectual Property of Qulsar, Inc. The asset purchase includes all variants of the Qulsar Systems Qg 2 and related development activities.

Since the sale of its embedded business to Silicon Labs in 2019, Qulsar developed system products to comply with standards like IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol, synchronous Ethernet, and different satellite communication standards to synthesize different timing sources and act as PTP masters, gateway, boundary and slave clocks for a wide range of applications spanning industrial automation, smart grid, automotive and 5G wireless infrastructure. The technology will now be extending the Viavi offering in the timing market.
