Conemtech, a leading provider of IEEE 1588 synchronization components today announced the new M50 module form factor for high accuracy time and frequency synchronization. The 29x29 mm module sold under the name of M50-34 is targeted for time and frequency masters well as time subscribing devices in telecommunications and smart grid networks.

Innovationsbron AB invests in the Sweden-based company Conemtech AB, which develops and manufactures Time and Frequency solutions based on the company's proprietary processor architecture. Its innovative features enables accuracies in the nano second range when synchronizing slaves with master clocks in the packet based network. The synchronization products from Conemtech are based on the new IEEE1588-2008 standard with a promising future in telecommunication and power grid networks.

Conemtech AB and Datang Telecom Technology Co. Ltd. (DTT) today announced the win of an order in which DTT, a leading telecom equipment manufacturer in China, will manufacture and ship 1588 equipment to China Mobile, a major operator the Chinese market. The first deliveries are to be completed within next month. This denotes a commercial and technical break-through of packet network synchronization products for both DTT as well as the Stockholm based semiconductor company.

Packet based synchronization based on the IEEE 1588-2008 standard is increasingly becoming the technology of choice for large scale deployments of synchronized networks. The industry have since five years actively been working together to ensure reliability, interoperability and performance for their customers.

Conemtech today released the P51S at the ISPCS 2011 conference. The P51S is a new member of the P5 series of OEM products for IEEE 1588 synchronization. The new product brings the total cost of ownership down to a minimum for integrating and maintaining IEEE 1588 functionality into existing products - this time for optical gigabit networks.
