Sales operations & marketing manager

We are looking for a full or part time sales and marketing manager who can grow with the company.  This is a ground floor opportunity with an innovative growing startup.

Prefer: At San Jose, CA.  Remote candidates will be considered as well.

You have:

• Innate curiosity and the desire to learn, find ways to refine, improve and grow
• Interested in sales enablement, customer care and the customer story
• Good grasp of business communications
• The ability and interest in learning fast in a supportive but fast paced environment
• Give attention to detail and strive towards excellence in your role
• Question the status quo, and work to refine and improve processes

Your role requires:

• Paying attention to customer success, and be the champion internally for the "customer journey"
• Responding to inquiries from customers (new orders / order status / product availability)
• Processing purchase orders accurately
• Working with operations to ensure accurate lead times and timely order fulfillment
• Working to keep accounts receivable current
• Generating weekly sales reports
• Monitoring shipment schedules to ensure timely delivery
• Updating “Customer Relationship Management” system regularly to reflect customer actions

 

Project you will lead:

• Researching, deciding and setting up digital ordering system to automate the sales process

 

Skills you will need: (required)

• A BA / BS with some experience with sales
• Familiarity with the “inside sales” function
• Understanding of digital marketing and sales (experience will be preferred)
• Proficiency and experience with tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and ability to work as part of a remote team

It will be great if you also have:

• Experience with Google Suites and its associated platform tools
• A grasp of marketing lead generation tools
• An interest in learning SEO and growing into a marketing role
