Conemtech sponsors the ISPCS 2011
- the IEEE 1588 plugfest and conference

Conemtech is one of the industrial sponsors to this annual ISPCS event, this time in Munich. The world wide gathering attracts device makers and customers interested in the state of the industry.

The plug-fest is an opportunity to test and demonstrate device and system interoperability, and to resolve compatibility issues. Implementers are invited and encouraged to cooperate with others to demonstrate system-wide clock synchronization and operation of protocols across as wide a spectrum of devices as possible.

In direct extension of the physical plug-fest an International symposium is taking place. The objective of the symposium is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners from industry, academia, and government involved in the area of Precision Clock Synchronization. This year it is held on the Garching campus of the Technical University of Munich. The I&M IEEE Instrumentation & measurement society sponsors the event. Technical sponsors are NIST, National Institute of Standards and Technology and ÖAW, the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

Conemtech will be releasing new products in the fall, and the plug-fest will be part of the validation of these. As ususal, both Conemtech grandmasters and slaves will be tested at the event, but this time with the very latest software releases of both the Power Profile and the Telecom profile which are presently the two areas where the standardized IEEE 1588-2008 technology has found its adoption.
